New development was announced at Shibuya Crossing, the main avenue in Tokyo, Japan
Cimed announced a collab with Sanrio through Hello Kitty to create a special edition of Carmed lip balm in celebration of the character’s 50th birthday. The announcement took place at Shibuya Crossing, the main avenue in Tokyo, Japan, during a visit by Karla Felmanas, VP of Cimed, to the country.
The limited edition will have an apple pie aroma and a kit developed exclusively for the partnership. In addition, the new product will feature an exclusive lid in the shape of the iconic character that can be used as an accessory in different ways, like a collectible item.
“Hello Kitty transcends generations. She accompanied the childhood, adolescence and adult lives of many people, especially the millennial and X generations. Now, at 50 years old, she continues to be a timeless symbol of joy capable of uniting different audiences. Having the opportunity Experiencing this universe up close is very enriching. This limited edition of Carmed is more than a beauty product, it is a collector’s item that connects emotions and generations”, says Karla Felmanas, vice president of Cimed.
“We are very happy to announce this incredible partnership with Cimed. Carmed Hello Kitty not only reflects the cuteness and charm of the character, but also brings the quality and care that our fans and consumers deserve. We are confident that it will be a great success and will further strengthen the brands’ relationship with the market”, highlights Caroline Manha, commercial and marketing manager at Sanrio.
