Actions mark the launch of the documentary series “Volta Priscila” on Disney+
Disney teamed up with the Belfort family to raise awareness of the cause of missing people in Brazil and around the world for the launch of the documentary series “Volta Priscila” on Disney+ that recalls how the disappearance of Priscila Belfort, sister of the famous fighter Vitor, happened Belfort, in 2004, in Rio de Janeiro. The series, directed by Eduardo Rajabally and produced by Pródigo Filmes, has four episodes and features testimonials from family, friends and experts.
As part of the actions, a mapping projection was carried out on buildings on Avenida Atlântica, on Copacabana beach, to highlight the images and data of 20 missing people, who are registered in the database of public bodies and non-governmental organizations.
Disney+ also joined Flamengo to address the issue during a football match at Maracanã, as part of the Nação no Maraca program, developed by the club’s social responsibility department, seeking to mobilize and raise public awareness about this social issue and also featured the support of the Belfort family.
Furthermore, Disney+ and the Belfort family promoted a special session of the series at the Cidade Jardim shopping mall, in São Paulo, which was attended by family, friends, the press and the NGO Mães da Sé, which fights to find missing people.
Throughout the publicity campaign for “Volta Priscila”, the Disney+ team in partnership with the Belfort family carried out the “Jamais Serão Esquecidas” project, in which they distributed t-shirts identical to the one worn by Priscila’s family during the year of her disappearance in 2004. Along with this symbolic piece, an informative guide was also distributed with recent numbers of missing people in Brazil, as well as a step-by-step guide on what should be done in cases like this.
