One of the betting companies legalized by recent federal government regulation, Bet Brazino 777 is facing difficulties advertising on TV due to its controversial history. According to F5’s “Outro Canal” column, Brazino started investing in radio ads this month, but television stations are reluctant to accept its commercials.
In recent weeks, Brazino executives sought out representatives from large networks such as Globo and RedeTV! to negotiate advertising insertions in sports and football programs, as other bookmakers already do. However, there was rejection due to the brand’s history of associating itself with pornographic websites, which complicates its acceptance in the television market.
Founded in 2018, Brazino 777 gained notoriety for using a parody of the hit “Baile de Favela”, by MC João, in an unusual advertising campaign, which was broadcast before videos on Xvideos, the largest adult content website in the country. The parody, which says “It’s Brazino, the people’s game!”, ended up going viral on social media and became a meme on the internet.
Despite resistance on TV, Brazino managed to close agreements with radio stations in São Paulo, such as Metropolitana FM and Mix FM, which will broadcast its jingle until the end of the year. Sought by F5 to comment on the matter, the company did not respond to the column’s contacts until the report was closed.
