Phocus is new in the Creation Club’s ranking of most awarded agencies
In the last edition of the Festival do Clube de Criação, the Brazilian market saw a new independent agency stand out: Phocus. In total, there were 2 golds, 1 bronze and 2 yearbooks for the “Taimes Isquer” project, created for will bank, a result that made it enter the ranking of the 20 most awarded agencies in Brazil, rising on the same stage as AlmapBBDO, Africa Creative, Gut, Wieden+Kennedy, David and so many admired agencies in Brazil and around the world.
A new agency in São Paulo
In the year that the Creation Club theme celebrates “All Flags, One Festival”, a new flag was raised. Or new flags. Originally from the northeast, the Phocus Group also has a presence in the north, central-west and, more recently, in the southeast, with its new office in São Paulo, at Itaim Bibi.
Times Square or Taimes Isquer?
The job that won the five awards took place in New York do Maranhão, one of the smallest cities in Brazil, with 4 thousand inhabitants. A replica of Times Square, Taimes Isquer, was built there to promote the businesses of will bank’s clients: small entrepreneurs and self-employed people from small cities across the country. It took 8 months from briefing to execution. A challenge, since the city is a 10-hour drive from the capital, São Luís, requiring all suppliers to travel to the city several times to carry out the work. As Phocus has a presence in the northeast and southeast, the agency had unique conditions to carry out a national campaign based on regional action.
1 job = 121 subjects
The project became a topic on CNN Brasil, Valor Econômico, Folha de S. Paulo, Isto É Dinheiro and several wide-ranging media outlets in the country. There were 121 articles in the press and a series of content on social media that reached more than 17 million people. From an action in a small town, it was possible to reverberate the fact to a large audience across the country, bringing visibility to the bank’s positioning.
