MTV and Corona, a premium beer brand, announce the return of the “Corona Luau MTV” program, one of the most iconic of the 2000s. The music special, which marked the arrival of summer and was originally created by Grupo Abril, celebrates now a decade of Corona’s presence in Brazil, taking as its stage its most symbolic space: the beach.
The publicity campaign has already started on Corona’s social networks, with teaser videos created by the Soko agency, featuring beachy elements that refer to the essence of the program.
“Corona is a brand that was born on the beach and has the essence of nature. When we think about summer, sun and sea, music is always very present. Therefore, when looking for a way to celebrate such a special year – the brand’s 10th in Brazil – these elements, naturally, led us to remember this iconic program. It’s incredible to be together with MTV to unite present and past in a unique project”, says Gabriela Gallo, Corona’s marketing director in Brazil.
The special will be recorded in Preá, Ceará, and will feature an unprecedented meeting in the Brazilian music scene: L7nnon and Marcelo Falcão. The presentation will be by Bella Campos, Pedro Scooby and Sarah Oliveira.
The “Corona Luau MTV”, which debuts later this year, has already been the stage for memorable performances by national artists and promises to repeat its success, once again bringing the best of the meeting of generations in a paradisiacal setting.
