The reduction in advertising investments happened in the same month that the Central Bank released a document, which showed that Brazilians spent around R$20 billion per month on online betting, between January and August this year.
Authorized bets
This week, the Ministry of Finance released a new list of bets authorized to operate in the country after regulation. Now, there are 100 companies authorized to operate 219 bets.
Of these 219, 26 received authorization from the Federal Government to operate only at the state level, divided into the following regions: Rio de Janeiro (8), Paraíba (8), Paraná (5), Maranhão (4) and Minas Gerais (1).
For platforms that have complied with all requirements since the beginning of the regulatory process, such as the bets mentioned below, regulation in the country will represent a true watershed.
