Shopee debuted its main campaign of the year in Brazil with a new piece starring actor and brand ambassador Terry Crews. In the piece, the star is transported to the fantastic world within the app to the sound of a parody of the song “A Thousand Miles” while being impacted by the offers of “11.11- The Biggest Sale of the Year”.
The 60’s film, created by Shopee’s in-house team and produced by O2 Filmes, was recorded in Portuguese and will be shown on open and closed TV, online channels, social networks, among other media.
In the play, Terry is behind the wheel, cruising around the city, when he is impacted by Shopee and clicks on the app. Then, everything around him turns into a magical, orange world, causing Terry to get out of the car and make several purchases, which appear next to him. The action uses artificial intelligence that served as the basis for the elements on the scene.
“We used AI to help us in the creative process and give us new ideas for playful elements that we could draw inspiration from. From there, we converted it into 3D and, together with Shopee, we created a creative, modern and fun mega production”, he explains. André Gustavo, who directed the commercial with co-direction by Fernando Moreira, both from O2 Filmes.
