Nubank announces NuCel, a mobile phone service that expands the company’s portfolio beyond financial services.
According to the company, the product was created to “simplify users’ lives with flexible, no-loyalty plans.”
In addition, NuCel customers will have access to benefits that are part of the Nubank ecosystem, such as Caixainhas Turbo, a tool that allows you to save money in a personalized way, with a return of 120% of the CDI. Ultravioleta and Nubank+ customers will have extra GBs automatically released if their data allowance is used in full.
NuCel will be gradually made available over the next few months, initially only for devices with eSIM, with quick and 100% digital activation. There are three plan options, so the customer can choose the one that best meets their needs: 15GB for R$45/month, 20GB for R$55/month and 35GB for R$75/month. Payment will be made by charging Nu’s credit card. In the initial testing phase, only some features will be available. After this step, all benefits and functions will be enabled.
All plans include:
Unlimited voice package, valid for local and long distance calls
Unlimited WhatsApp, including voice and video calls, and unlimited access to the Nubank app.
Access to an exclusive little box with a yield of 120% of the CDI of the amounts deposited by the customer, with a limit of up to R$10 thousand, and for at least one year.
NuCel will have coverage of 93% of the national territory and a high-performance 5G connection. Starting today, customers interested in receiving notification about the availability of the service will be able to register on the interest list, via the app, and will be notified when NuCel is available for contracting.
NuCel will provide real-time suggestions based on usage, allowing for adjustments at any time. If the contracted franchise runs out within the month, the customer can add GBs directly in the app.
“NuCel was created to simplify the current telephony portfolio, with flexible plans, without surprises for customers, and with autonomy that only a 100% digital platform can offer. Our philosophy remains the same: we know that the best product always wins. We are on day 1 of this journey, but we are working to guarantee Nu’s experience, customer care and quality of service in this new product as well. And, of course, this service, within an ecosystem of increasingly complete solutions, brings even more benefits and gains in the integration of offers to the customer.”, highlights Livia Chanes, CEO of Nubank in Brazil.
NuCel was created within the MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) model, regulated by Anatel in the country.
