The content portals G1 and Globo.com showed a record increase in audience and record breaks in video views, according to data released by Globo.
In the G1, the Mundo editor, which concentrates information about the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, was the most impacted. It registered a 420.7% increase in page views in relation to the month of January. Among the video content, on five days of the month the portal reached a historic record of views, being on 02/24, when the country led by Vladimir Putin began the invasion of Ukrainian territory, responsible for the highest number of hits.
In addition to the war, the G1 numbers were impacted by the tragedy caused by the rains in Petrópolis, Rio de Janeiro, representing a 12% increase in general access to the portal compared to the previous month and 827% in relation to the average video consumption live from February 2021.
At Globo.com, the first day of the war also had a high impact. The platform recorded a 100% increase in the average daily clicks when compared to other days of the year, 85% more in the volume of accesses and a 55% increase in the average number of users per day.
