The festival also announced three new categories for next year, one of which is content creator and two others are branding.
The D&AD Awards announced this Wednesday (6) who will be the jury presidents for the awards in 2025 and two Brazilians are on the list! In addition, three new categories were also announced, one for content creators and two others for branding.
The new creator category (creator content) will reward the creativity of influencers and creators to achieve success for brands, with Karl Haddad, director of TikTok’s global creative lab, as president of the jury.
Branding was divided into two new distinct categories: new brand identity (new brand identity) and updating brand identity (brand identity refresh). According to the award, the division was made due to the high number of entries received in previous years, which were more than 900 in 2024.
Fred Gelli is one of the Brazilians participating in the award. The founder and CEO of Tátil Design will be president of the jury for the new brand identity refresh category. In addition to him, the Brazilian Marco Giannelli ‘Pernil’, CCO of AlmapBBDO, will be president of the jury in the digital marketing category.
“We are in the midst of a shift in marketing that we have all been waiting for. More than ever, creators are shaping unique narratives for brands, connecting with audiences in new and engaging ways. I am honored to be the first jury president for the new content creator category, which recognizes this new wave of creativity,” said Karl Haddad.
In 2024, the D&AD Awards had a record number of entries, receiving more than 12 thousand pieces from 78 countries and resulting in the distribution of 651 Pencils.
