Brazil will have a driver in the main category of world motorsport after six years
Brazil will once again have a driver in Formula 1 from 2025. His name is Gabriel Bortoleto, announced this Wednesday (6), in Switzerland, as a new reinforcement for the Sauber team.
The last Brazilian driver in the category was Felipe Massa, who retired from the track in 2017.
According to the specialized press, Bortoleto was already being speculated to join Sauber. The Brazilian will take over the position previously occupied by Valtteri Bottas.
In 2023, the driver was Formula 3 champion, establishing himself as the youngest Brazilian to win the title. In Formula 2, he stood out as the leader of the competition.
Sponsor of Gabriel Bortoleto, Porto will promote a series of media actions to highlight the driver’s transition to the main category of world motorsport.
Among the initiatives, Porto launched an OOH media campaign, announcing and celebrating Brazil’s return to F1 competitions and showing that “Bortoleto is Porto”.
On social media, first thing in the morning, the brand released an exclusive mosaic of the driver, along with a Reels, highlighting the pride of supporting a Brazilian athlete in F1 again.
This content was replicated on Azul Seguros profiles and on the institutional profile aimed at the company’s partners, @CorretorePramaior. The social action will also be shared by other Porto partners.
“Over the last 79 years we have built our essence based on automobile culture, and Formula 1 is the culmination of this. It is an extremely relevant territory for us, as well as being a way of contributing to the development of the sport”, said Luiz Arruda, VP of commercial and marketing at Porto.
