Among the large companies that were present, Volvo, Scania, Intelbras, Iveco, DAF Caminhões Brasil, Mercedes-Benz and others stood out, which presented their latest technological advances, including electric trucks and fleet management tools.
Scania: Sustainable Innovation and Comprehensive Customer Services
Scania brought its sustainable innovation strategy to Fenatran, not only with new products, but also with services aimed at maximizing the operation of its vehicles. Marcio Furlan, Head of Marketing at Scania Brasil, highlighted the importance of Scania PRO Services, which guarantee the least possible downtime of vehicles in workshops, as well as solutions for fleet management with a focus on efficiency and safety. The brand’s big news was the presentation of its electric truck, in line with the growing demand for sustainable alternatives in cargo transport.
“Scania’s ongoing commitment to sustainable innovation goes beyond our products. We are focused on delivering services that guarantee the shortest possible vehicle downtime in our network workshops. We will show at Fenatran how Scania PRO Services and our other tools form a wide range of solutions for the customer to have Scania service coverage and guarantees in their operation for the entire line of vehicles, including the new one, the electric truck”, he adds Fernando Valiate, Director of Services at Scania Commercial Operations Brazil.
Iveco: Connectivity for Growth
Maurício Corrêa, Marketing Manager at Iveco, highlighted: “Iveco participates in Fenatran with the aim of showing trends and closing deals, highlighting innovations and solutions for the transport sector. Among the new features, the company presents its electric vehicles for urban charging, with an initial focus on São Paulo, where the infrastructure is more adequate. However, for longer distances, Iveco is betting on gas vehicles, both natural gas and biomethane, a viable solution due to the local production of biomethane in Brazil.”
The company also highlights connectivity as a differentiator: “our truck monitoring technology allows data on vehicle performance to be analyzed in real time, alerting drivers and operators to critical issues such as loss of pressure, preventing failures and maintenance costs . Furthermore, Iveco seeks to make connectivity accessible for trucks from other brands, offering integrated solutions for transporters with diverse fleets.”
Asked about the use of AI and other emerging technologies, the executive explained: “Artificial intelligence (AI) is already used by the company to monitor trucks and optimize operations, with telemetry systems and predictive analysis. AI is also applied to provide feedback to the driver about their driving, encouraging more economical and safer practices, such as the use of engine braking to avoid excessive wear.”
Maurício also spoke about the cultural adaptation necessary for drivers to understand and correctly use these technologies, which are not intended to punish, but rather to improve performance and efficiency in truck operation.
Intelbras: Electromobility and Artificial Intelligence for Fleet Management
Alexandre Simas, National Sales Supervisor at Intelbras, highlighted: “Intelbras is a company with 48 years of history, which evolved from an initial focus on telecommunications to operate in three main areas: energy, connectivity and electronic security. This transformation took place through active listening to the market and technological innovations. Intelbras presented technological solutions embedded with Artificial Intelligence for managing fleets of heavy, medium and light vehicles. During the event, the company highlighted its four-channel Dashcam, which offers real-time monitoring and accident prevention. Bruno Pedro Valerim, monitoring and tracking manager at Intelbras, spoke about how AI can improve safety, preventing risky behaviors such as using a cell phone while driving and drowsiness, in addition to optimizing the efficiency of operations.
“Our onboard monitoring solutions add several features that were designed for the Brazilian scenario, which raises our level in the market as a company offering solutions for security, connectivity and energy, reinforcing our performance as specialists. Our expertise accumulated over the years enables us to offer a complete experience to our customers and users of our technologies. Therefore, at Fenatran, we will get even closer to the public and commercial partners who seek more security, agility and operational efficiency to manage their fleets, regardless of the size of the project”, says Bruno Pedro Valerim, monitoring and tracking manager at Intelbras.

With Electric trucks or 100% Biodiesel, Volvo reinforces commitment to decarbonization at Fenatran
FM Electric and FH B100 Flex models are some of Volvo’s highlights at the National Transport Fair. They are part of the brand’s goal to reduce fossil CO2 emissions in its vehicles by 50% by 2030 and by 100% by 2040.
Both the electric and biodiesel models are in line with Volvo’s long-term vision. “We want to deliver transport solutions that are 100% safer, more productive and free from CO2 of fossil origin”, declares Wilson Lirmann, president of the Volvo Latin America Group.
DAF Trucks: Launches and Electrical Technology
DAF Caminhões Brasil also made its important presentation at Fenatran, with the launch of new models and technologies, such as the electric driveline, a solution that is already being applied to trucks. José Luis Assunção, Technical Instructor at DAF, highlighted the brand’s commitment to driver comfort and safety, presenting systems such as adaptive cruise control and emergency braking. The company also announced plans to expand its dealership network, with the goal of reaching 100 service points.
Mercedes-Benz: Electromobility in Development
Mercedes-Benz took advantage of Fenatran to highlight its new products for electromobility, announcing the start of tests with new models in Brazil, which will be evaluated in partnership with large companies in the country, such as Coca-Cola Femsa and Suzano. These trucks represent the brand’s new sustainable era, with zero emissions and solutions for urban and interurban transport.
Gilson Zinetti, an engineer at Mercedes-Benz, told us a little: “We are bringing electric trucks for controlled tests, with the aim of raising awareness among customers about this technology and understanding which ones are ready to adopt electric or hybrid fleets.”
The company also demonstrated its remote driving technology, with a totem on the stand to operate a truck located at the factory. This technology is useful for operations in hazardous terrain, such as decommissioning dams and oil platforms.
Additionally, Mercedes-Benz is incorporating artificial intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies into its trucks, using cameras to monitor driver behavior and the environment. The system is capable of detecting signs of drowsiness, inappropriate driving practices, use of a cell phone or seat belt and generating alerts for both the
driver and the control center. This information is used for training, product improvements and optimization of transport safety.
Vamos Group: Frota Semper Nova
José Geraldo Santana Franco Júnior, Executive Commercial Director at Grupo Vamos, highlighted the Group’s objectives and a new way of expanding its fleet with pre-owned models.
“For us, Fenatran is an opportunity to make sales, showing its wide portfolio of products, which ranges from trucks and implements to equipment for the agricultural and construction sectors.”
Always New: the launch of pre-owned vehicles is another new feature for the company, with the “Always New” concept in which pre-owned trucks undergo a complete revitalization, both external and internal, in addition to a rigorous review of all mechanical items to ensure the quality and useful life of the vehicle.
The focus on “Always New” and fleet renewal also aims to attract a new generation of drivers, offering more modern, comfortable and technological vehicles, with less physical demand, which makes the profession more attractive and efficient.
Sustainability is a priority for Grupo Vamos, which focuses on fleet renewal. The company highlights that the average age of its fleet is less than two and a half years, a big difference compared to the national average, which is 23 years. The renovation contributes to reducing pollutant emissions and improving transport efficiency in Brazil. The Group also works with electric and gas vehicles, seeking more sustainable solutions.
