For the second consecutive year as official sponsor of one of the biggest geek culture fairs in the world, Bis, the most remembered non-native brand at CCXP23, in partnership with the DAVID agency, is back and is preparing an aBISurda and unprecedented action for the CCXP24. In a unique experiment, Bis developed an RPG game (Role Playing Gamein English) that can be played via WhatsApp, the first in the world to be developed with WhatsApp Flows, launched this year by Meta, and seeks to democratize access to the game, providing an immersive experience for the brand’s consumers. During the journey, which marks one of the countless actions planned by the brand, players will be able to compete for huge prizes and at the end, 50 of them will be drawn with a pair of tickets to the fair that takes place between the 5th and 8th of December, in São Paul. The game is now available on the action’s official website.
“Bis has a history with pop culture, and we want to further strengthen this relationship with the geek public. Our star of the moment is Bis Limão which, at the request of the brand’s fans, returned to the shelves for a limited time. In this saga, our idea was to unite two unprecedented fronts, the return of Bis Limão and RPG via Whatsapp, to provide the greatest brand experience ever seen at CCXP24. Our objective with creating this RPG format is to attract more people to the modality and promote an experience close to the fair, overcoming geographical barriers, as not everyone has access to the event. Thus, we offer the chance for as many people as possible to live an aBISurda experience with Bis at CCXP24”, comments Fabíola Menezes, director of chocolate marketing at Mondelēz Brasil.
In an aBISurda saga, in which players will travel through different universes, the mission will be to take Bis Limão – which, at the request of Bislovers, has just returned to the shelves for a limited time – to CCXP24, facing different adventures and challenges to reach to the grand final. The difference of the game, which makes up a market that has grown seven times larger in the last ten years in Brazil alone, according to data from the Brazilian Association of Digital Game Developers (Abragames), is that for the first time, through a bot, it can be played entirely via Whatsapp, one of the most popular applications among Brazilians, where the starting board will be made available to participants.
“The gamification experience via WhatsApp fosters a direct relationship between the player and the brand for an extended period of time, expanding the possibilities for interaction and creating relationships. This Bis channel opens up a creative possibility of using Flows, demonstrating the platform’s potential to connect brands with their customers”, Pietro Bujaldon, co-founder and co-CEO of Smarters, the company responsible for the action’s chatbot.
The Bis activations at the fair don’t stop there. As in the last edition, the brand once again supports Artists’ Valley, considered the heart of CCXP, where comic artists from different niches have the opportunity to present their work to millions of people. With the brand’s exclusive stand waiting for more than 20 thousand people, Bis will also bring new attractions to its exclusive stage, in the stand surrounded by interactivity activations that the public can participate in.
