To highlight the seriousness of domestic violence, Studio Nuts, a collective created by partners Tico Moraes and Valéria Lima, with offices in Brazil and Portugal, launches the Stop The Purple campaign for the Portuguese Victim Support Association (APAV). The initiative, in honor of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, celebrated on November 25, brings the message “Purple is for wearing, not for branding”.
The campaign encourages people to post photos wearing the Stop The Purple t-shirt, created by Studio Nuts and produced and sold by the Someone Said Clothes brand, which supports the action. All profits obtained from sales will be donated to APAV.
Several personalities joined the campaign, including actresses Thaís Campos and Luciana Abreu, DJ Clara Maya and singers Karyna Gomes, Pongo and Ana Bacalhau, a total of 12 personalities who were photographed by Daryan Dornelles in support of the cause. Everyone will use their social networks to amplify the message and engage more people in the action.
“We want to give visibility to a serious problem that affects women around the world. Cases of femicide are on the rise and it is essential to reinforce that women who face this situation are not alone”, says Tico Moraes, partner at Studio Nuts, who has been collaborating with APAV on awareness campaigns on the topic for 2 years.
