The event takes place between the 26th and 30th of November at the Panamericana School of Art and Design
Documentary Photography Festival, FotoDoc 2024 is officially sponsored by Heineken. The organization of the Secretariat of Culture, Economy and Creative Industry also has the support of the Panamericana Escola de Arte e Design, the venue that will host the event, Vento Leste, Frida!, Origem, Lovely Home and the Association of Photographic and Cinematographic Reporters in State of São Paulo (Arfoc-SP).
FotoDoc24 will take place between the 26th and 30th of November with the aim of bringing together professionals, students and photography enthusiasts. The festival will also feature the presence of big names in Brazilian photography, such as Marcio Scavone, Betina Polaroid, Karime Xavier and Tadeu Villani. Elspeth Diederix, one of the main names in contemporary photography in the Netherlands, and Dutch curator Erik Vroons, editor of GUP magazine.
The big winner is Fabio Teixeira, with the essay “Between life and death in the streets”, about the daily difficulties faced by those who survive living on the streets and working with recycling in Rio de Janeiro. Teixeira will receive a trophy at the awards ceremony, at the opening of the festival.
