Santa Cruz, in partnership with Volt, the club’s official sporting equipment supplier, launched its new uniform in honor of Black Awareness Day. It is Tricolor’s third shirt, in partnership with the company, which references the fight against racial discrimination.
For the 2024 collection, the black tone of the shirt is filled with typically African prints, which appear on the front of the shirt. Furthermore, the gray stripes on the sleeves of the uniform present more details that allude to the culture, reinforcing the commitment to celebrating and valuing black identity. There is also a patch at the bottom with the words “Equality-Identity-Respect”, in addition to the crossed fist symbol, typical in the anti-racist fight, demonstrating the importance of the gesture of resistance.
“We are very happy to be part of this initiative alongside our clubs. It is essential that clubs recognize football as a platform to promote social issues like this. Football can be a powerful awareness tool, as long as clubs and brands value their role in society”, points out Fernando Kleimmann, managing partner of Volt.
Since its founding in 2021, Volt has stood out for creating themed collections for the date, always making reference to the fight against racial discrimination, the club’s history and symbols of resistance to racism.
The themed uniform with ethnic references has Fiji fabric as its predominant material, known for being soft, comfortable, durable and resistant to wear, with the logo in black and white, following the tones of the shirt.
The model is now available in Santa Cruz online stores – – and arrives in stores this Wednesday, for R$ 229.90.
