Big Brother Brasil’s last endurance test was a hot topic on the internet. As usual, this Thursday, March 10th, the test began to decide who is the new leader of the BBB this week. This time, the test was of resistance and tested the participants to the limit, where they had to stand on a structure that simulates a carousel.
The test started at 23:03 and lasted almost 24 hours. A similar activity took place at BBB 20, in which Thelma Assis, that year’s champion, won the lead. This time, Pedro Scooby was the first to leave the lead, passing up the opportunity to keep the necklace for two weeks in a row, as happened with Jade Picon in that same edition.
Still, the surfer held up considerably well, as he only got off the carousel during the morning, having been on his feet for over 5 hours. Vini was the second to leave the race, followed by Gustavo and Jessilane, who stayed for 7, 8 and 10 hours respectively. In the end, Lucas, Paulo André and Nathalia lasted until the end, when a draw was held to decide the champion and put Lucas in the lead.
Still, this was not BBB’s first resistance test. Activities that test participants’ physical and psychological limits are almost a hallmark of the program and have been going on for over a decade. To remember the “worst” dynamics of this style, we have separated a list of the ones that marked the most during the different editions.
Remember the most outstanding endurance tests of the BBB:
Minuano Test – BBB 10
Undoubtedly one of the most outstanding resistance tests in the history of the BBB. Sponsored by the domestic cleaning products brand Minuano, this test took place more than 10 years ago, but it is still very much remembered by the public. In it, the brothes had to dress up as a sponge and scrub giant dishes while detergent and water poured over them.
Fiat Cronos Immunity Test – BBB 18
A test worth remembering for the time it lasted. The concept was quite simple: the participants were only supposed to stand on a turntable secured by a seat belt. Whoever won would take home a Fiat Cronos, in addition to immunity. It turns out that Ana Clara and Kaysar resisted for almost 2 days in a row, causing the program to close down for medical reasons.
Car Test – BBB 1
In the first BBB in history, the classic car test already existed. The activity consists of leaving all participants in the program for as long as possible in a car, until only one can stay in the vehicle and win the race (and the car). At the time, the 16 brothers needed to stay in a Fiat and the winner was Adriano, who convinced the other finalist, Bambam, to abandon the dispute.
Knorr My Roast Chicken Tasting – BBB 11
Another classic test that marked the history of the program. In this one, the participants had to dress up like a chicken, which in itself would be enough to make the event memorable. However, it doesn’t stop there, afterward they still had to divide into teams, take a “bath” of spice and enter a giant oven if they were chosen. The test lasted 10 hours.
Cage Test – BBB 7
A memorable proof not only for the concept, but for the whole context behind it. The edition marked by the rivalry between Diego Alemão and Alberto Cowboy had a test at the height of the two participants, where both were locked in a cage for 21 hours. In the end, the victory ended up with Cowboy, but the winner of that edition of the BBB was Alemão, with one of the highest percentages in history.
