Fast food chain sent R$0.01 to millions of Clube BK members, using bank notification to publicize promotion
Burger King bet on a different campaign this Black Friday. To publicize the promotion of two ‘chickens’‘ for just R$0.25 during ‘BKFriday’, the network sent R$0.01 to millions of BK Club members, using the tool’s text box to communicate that, from November 25th to 29th, just add R$0 .24 that it is now possible to make the purchase.
The difference in this year’s campaign is precisely the use of pix as a direct communication channel with the public, taking advantage of the popularity of the payment method in Brazil.
“More than a campaign, this mechanic created an innovative media format that impacts and becomes a topic, connecting BK® in a unique way to the consumer in the most competitive week of the year in retail”, comments Igor Puga, marketing CMO at Zamp, Burger King master franchisee in Brazil.
