Data from the Target Group Index Brasil, from 2024, shows that YouTube was considered the number one digital platform among Brazilians aged 18 and over. Proving its success, with 48% of the votes, YouTube won the Propmark 2024 Best Award, in the Platform of the Year category. The video platform competed for the award along with LinkedIn (34% of the votes) and also with the video app Kwai (17% of votes).
“This award reflects the continued work and dedication of the entire team to offering the best resources and experiences. At YouTube, our commitment is always to create an environment where creativity can flourish and the community connects in meaningful ways,” said Patrícia Muratori, director of YouTube for Latin America. For the executive, the award is a validation of the platform’s impact. “On the marketing and advertising trade side, this type of recognition is a validation of the positive impact we are generating in the market, helping brands reach their audiences in an authentic and innovative way, in addition to generating positive results in their businesses.”
According to internal data from the platform itself, as of January 2024, on average, more than 1 billion hours of YouTube content are consumed on television (connected TV/CTV) daily. “This was a year of great advances, both in terms of technological innovation, the launch of new tools for creators and advertisers, and the strengthening of our global community. We work hard to continue offering a richer and more personalized experience, meeting the growing demand for diverse and quality content”, recalled Patrícia, who, among the platform’s projects, highlights the broadcast of the Olympic Games live on CazéTV.
