AliExpress will complete 12 years of operation on March 28 and, to celebrate the date, it invited Gkay to star in the “Farofa do Ali” campaign.
Signed by the agency AlmapBBDO, the new farofa will have, in addition to the host Gkay, influencers such as Viih Tube and Pequena Lo, and on the 28th, the brand will have a party on an island in the metaverse to open a 5-day period of promotions in the marketplace .
“Our birthday party uses as a reference a very Brazilian idea, the GKay farofa, an event that impacted tens of millions of users in its last edition and is in line with the spirit of AliExpress, which seeks to give local characteristics to its actions”, said Briza Bueno, director of AliExpress in Brazil.
During the celebration week, Gkay will choose one AliExpress user per day to win an invitation and go, in person, to its party, “Farofa da Gkay”, which takes place every year in December since 2017.
To have the chance to be chosen by the influencer, you must publish a video on your social networks telling which AliExpress product you would take to the farofa and tag it with the hashtag #DesafioFarofaDoAli.
The campaign’s actions will be publicized, during prime time, on the main television channels in Brazil. Among the programs in which it will be possible to see Farofa do Ali’s plays are the breaks of Big Brother Brasil and the new version of the soap opera Pantanal, both on TV Globo.
In the digital universe, in addition to the March 28 party and lives with celebrities, online games such as “Batalha Ali” will encourage users to invite friends and acquaintances to take advantage of Farofa’s discounts.
