Commentator called Palmeiras coach ‘stupid’ and ‘idiot’
Radio Transamerica terminated, this Tuesday (15), the contract with journalist Paulo Roberto Martins. On this Monday’s ‘Papo de Craque 2nd Edition’ program (14), the commentator called Palmeiras coach Abel Ferreira a ‘boçal’ and ‘idiot’.
“I’m saying he as a human being is a disgrace, an idiot. He’s an idiot. He’s a jerk. He has no education. He’s arrogant, he’s boastful, as a human being. I’m not talking like a football coach, what he knows how to do. With a good team or a bad team, his booming scheme will always be the same”, said Martins during the program.
Earlier, the station even issued a statement repudiating the commentator’s statement and stating that the statement does not represent the radio’s position. “Transamerica respects and admires the technician from Palmeiras, the institution Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras, and regrets what was said by the commentator”.
