Several new information about the new game related to the Harry Potter franchise was revealed by the Avanlanche studio at the State of Play this Thursday, March 17th. With a promotional video, fans can already expect a lot from the new title “Hogwarts Legacy”, which will be released in late 2022, although no exact date has been revealed.

The game will be in the style of RPG. Players will be able to live the experience of studying at Hogwarts School of Magic, the same one in which the protagonist of the saga studied. Still, it’s important to mention that the characters from the book and movie series will not appear, as the game takes place around 1800, well before the events of the saga.
Still, fans can expect to see other key characters from the Harry Potter universe, like Nearly Headless Nick. In addition, players can participate in different activities within the world built by the game, such as attending school classes, choosing their own house among the 4 available, finding secret passages, among others.
There aren’t too many details about the game’s story, but we know that the story will be totally original. Hogwarts Legacy will feature a war between wizards and goblins. The enemies faced as events unfold are on both sides. In addition, the game will also feature a morality system based on player actions.
As with most RPG games, this one will also have open world missions. In them, players will have to solve problems of other characters, interacting with them and discovering their stories. As far as we know, the missions outside the main story will be diverse and may vary according to the house chosen at the beginning of the game.
The game will explore different facets of the universe created in Harry Potter. While Hogwarts is the main location in the story, other locations will also become available within the open world. Therefore, there will be no shortage of references within the game for the most assiduous fans of the franchise.
