The 20 judges will choose the best film broadcast nationally on the network during the last year.
SBT released the list of professionals who will compose the jury of the 11th edition of the Best Commercial in Brazil award.
The winners (creative duo and advertiser) will win a trip to Cannes, France, to participate in the Cannes Lions festival in June this year.
“For the 11th edition of the award, we selected in a broad and diversified way, renowned professionals in the market who, in addition to being fundamental to guaranteeing creative work and brand building, are the ones who direct the countless challenges from end to end, from creation and viability of great ideas, to the delivery of increasingly relevant content for the consumer”, declared Fred Müller, SBT’s Business and Marketing Director.
In order to vote and determine the award, a preliminary election is carried out by the internal commission — composed of journalists, executives from the Marketing and Business area of SBT — who analyze all the films broadcast nationally on the network during the last year. Then, the list of finalist films goes through the sieve of the market jury, through an online vote, which results in a shortlist of the 10 best commercials.
The final stage takes place during a closed event and counts on the presence of judges, journalists and SBT executives. On the occasion, the jury gets to know the shortlist first hand and performs the last live vote, which will elect the winner of the edition.
The meeting is scheduled for the month of April, in São Paulo. In 2020, the film “Esperança”, created by Africa for Itaú, was elected the best commercial in Brazil in the national category.
