O McDonald’s debuts his participation in Lollapalooza Brasil in style. In addition to setting up a restaurant with two kitchens and an operation with more than 200 people, so that the public does not feel like it in the place, the brand will also guarantee offers at McDelivery for those who choose to enjoy the shows from home. To communicate its presence at Lolla BR, one of the main music festivals in the country, the campaign created by the agency GALLERYcast the rapper Emicida in lineup of the film for TV and in the contents of the digital strategy.
“This will be a very important moment for McDonald’s. It’s a great opportunity to connect even more with the brand’s fans and bring a new experience to the public. While also offering great deals for those who are at home. Having one of the main names in Brazilian music helping us to tell this story in our communication makes this debut even tastier for us” highlights João Branco, VP of Marketing at McDonald’s.
The film that will be broadcast on TV and digital shows a group of friends prepared to follow Lolla’s shows directly from the couch. With each bite of the different products on the network, they transform into a rock or pop music star. Until whoever tastes the Big Mac with barbecue sauce (not by chance) becomes Emicida, one of the most awaited attractions of the festival this year.
The rapper, whose registered Méquizice is the Big Mac with Barbecue Sauce, was invited to create content on his networks and, in one of them, he presented his McRequirement: McDonald’s cannot be missing from the festival’s dressing room.
“A lot of people when they’re at a show think, ‘Get out of here, I’m going to send a McDonald’s. Now the brand will be there, together, making the festival experience even more special. To leverage this, we thought of a strategy that tracks who will be at the shows and also who will watch from home, all to connect the brand’s fans to the festival’s vibe”, says creative director Phil Daijó.
