A new live action video from Ubisoft Brasil promises to unite nostalgia and insanity in three minutes of a lot of Far Cry, humor and references to national cinema. Starring actor Leandro Firmino (“City of God”, “Operação Maré Negra”), the skit “Vilões Reagem” is now available on Ubisoft Brasil’s YouTube channel and shows the reactions of the villain “Zé Grandão” when meeting the antagonists of games in the Far Cry series, whose most recent title, Far Cry 6, has just received additional content with missions starring the outstanding characters Vaas (Far Cry 3), Paga Min (Far Cry 4) and Joseph Seed (Far Cry 5).

Developed by Ubisoft Creative Hub Brasil, the company’s in-house creative hub, and produced by Tocaia Filmes, the video begins with Zé Grandão invading a lan house alongside his henchmen, taking control of the place and expelling the players from there. When one of the customers resists getting up and leaving, Leandro Firmino’s character becomes interested in the game he was playing and starts to react to the presentation of each villain in Far Cry, mocking and belittling their meanness. With a surprise at the end, the narrative delivers several easter eggs and fun lines that will make the audience laugh and remember great antagonists from movies and games.

“We seek to build a simple, fun and, above all, unexpected narrative. Just as we surprised the public with the campaign ‘É o Tchan em Yara’, also inspired by Far Cry, this time we chose to pay tribute to a classic of Brazilian cinema recognized worldwide” and concluded: “In addition to impacting game fans, we aim at a mainstream audiences, including international ones, who will immediately recognize the video references. The script and dialogues were also strategically designed to revisit remarkable villains with a great sense of humor and the talent of Leandro Firmino”.
Between March 24th and 27th, Far Cry 6 will be available for free to players on all platforms on which the game was released (Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC, via the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft). Store). In addition to the complete base game, users will be able to try out all the expansions already released during this period – such as those starring the series’ villains – and purchase the title permanently at promotional prices, with up to 50% off.
