Sony confirmed this Tuesday, March 29, the rumors that were circulating in the gaming world recently. The company that is responsible for producing one of the biggest consoles on the market, the Playstation, has a new plan for the game service available on the platform, PS Plus.
The revelation is that the service that until then had a series of benefits, including online play, will have new subscriptions. The new PS Plus plans will bring different features to subscribers depending on the price paid. The measure comes to rival the Game Pass, from XBox, Playstation’s main competitor.
The new Plus plans will be divided into 3 categories: Playstation Plus Essential, Playstation Plus Extra and Playstation Plus Premium. In addition to them, there is a special plan that will only be available in selected markets until then. The special plan will have the benefits of the best plans, in addition to having PS1, PS2 and PSP games available.
Check out the difference between the new PS Plus plans:
PlayStation Plus Essential
Price: BRL 34.90 per month, 84.90 per quarter and 199.90 per year
This is the plan that subscribers are already used to using. This PS Plus plan will make two games available for free to PS4 and PS5 players. In addition, it enables online resources to be used normally. Nothing changes from that plane to what is active so far.
PlayStation Plus Extra
Price:R$52.90 per month, R$139.90 per quarter and R$339.90 per year.
From here, the news begins. This plan has the same benefits as PS Plus Essential, but with some extras. In addition to the two games available for free each month, players will also have access to a special catalog with more than 400 games. Among the titles available are some produced by Sony itself, such as God of War and Death Stranding.
PlayStation Plus Premium
The most complete plan so far. Subscribers who choose the Premium service will have access to some PS3 titles and even older PS1, PS2 and PSP titles. Not only that, but this plan will also guarantee cloud access for the original Playstation games. Still, this option will not yet be available in Brazil.
The new PS Plus plans do not yet have an exact date to be fully accessible, however Sony says that the interest is to bring the plans to players until the second half of the year.
