The CEO of the innovation conference, Marcus Rossi, says that lectures will address trends on several fronts and seek to foster the tourist industry
With the proposal to be a festival that discusses future trends on several fronts, Gramado Summit 2022, which will be held from April 6 to 8, at Serra Park, will have more than 150 speakers and should receive around six thousand people. . It is a record audience for the innovation conference, which has reached its 5th edition and has been establishing itself in the calendar of events in the tourist city of Rio Grande do Sul.
“One of the things we embraced this year is that we need to talk more about the future. What will the future be like in finance, in marketing, what is industry 4.0, which is not yet a widespread concept in Brazil, and what trends will work out in the world. When we assumed that we are a festival of the future, we had much more freedom to work on different fronts”, explains Marcus Rossi, creator of Gramado Summit.
A born entrepreneur, Rossi created the event inspired by the Web Summit, in Portugal. At the time, he was 29 years old. “We like to compare ourselves in structure with the Web Summit, because I really like the idea of people getting into an immersion. What I think is really cool, and that’s where I was inspired to create Gramado Summit, is that they have 20,000 people sitting down to watch content. My dream is to have 10, 20 thousand people sitting down to watch lectures. It gives a feeling of a show, from a football game to quality content.”
Known for his boldness, Rossi held, in 2021, an in-person edition of the Gramado Summit in the middle of a pandemic, obviously respecting all health protocols. “Last year, when we held an in-person event in the middle of the pandemic, we used the word resumption a lot, but, in fact, if we are to understand it from the public and financial point of view, this year is our resumption event”, he stresses.
According to the CEO of Gramado Summit, the expectation of four thousand people has already been exceeded, and the audience should reach six thousand, in addition the average ticket is higher than in 2019, “so far our best edition”. “We also have a higher demand, mainly from states that did not participate before, such as Acre and Amazonas”, emphasizes Rossi.
One of his dreams is to transform Gramado into a Davos of innovation, which is not a capital, it is not an industrial city, but a tourist one. “It is an innovation conference, but it is an event that I increasingly want to insert in the tourist industry. I want people to be able to schedule their vacation to Gramado and go to Gramado Summit. We signed a partnership with Azul, for example, which is making packages for Gramado with the conference. We purposely choose from Wednesday to Friday so that participants can extend their stay”, he reports.
Calling itself the “biggest brainstorming in Latin America”, the conference will bring together names such as Joel Jota (influencer), Luiz Pondé (philosopher), Kim Farrell (TikTok), Helena Bertho (Nubank), Gabriel Sukita (Facebook), Veronica Oliveira (Faxina Boa), Rincon Sapiência (musician) and Núbia Mota (Adobe). There will be individual lectures in TEDx format of 20 minutes and two panels, on the marketing and communication stages; finance; industry and digital transformation; and main plenary. In addition, in parallel to the event, there is a business fair, with the exhibition of more than 200 companies.
