Head of art Breno Ribeiro is today at MullenLowe in Dubai. But he has worked in Moscow and has been sharing the anguish of fellow Russians and Ukrainians since the country led by Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine just over a month ago. Next, the executive reports some of these afflictions.
Dubai
We arrived in Dubai in December of last year, and when all this started, there was nothing else to talk about. Everyone was waiting to see what the Emirates’ position on all this would be.
Russia
I have a lot of friends in Russia and Ukraine too. I lived almost three years in Moscow. I arrived there in 2017. I met a lot of nice people. It’s very sad to talk to them today, and to see that they all lost jobs at agencies and clients.
