Continuing the CCXPverso events, Omelete Company announces the CCXP Awards, the biggest pop culture award in Brazil, for July 14th. The event will take place in São Paulo and will celebrate the best national and international products in various arts such as games, movies, series, books, comics and content creators.
The novelty has the pioneering spirit on national soil of rewarding several artists, producers and companies in multiple categories. For Roberto Fabri, VP of Content and Brand at CCXP, the CCXP Awards is positioned as an evolution of the traditional awards, already present in the national territory, and unifies the passion for pop culture within different audiences, age groups and strands.
“An award that celebrates culture and especially pop culture, and is already born as the biggest award of its kind in Brazil. This is the definition of the CCXP Awards. An award that focuses on the recognition of the production of national content in different categories”, explains Fabri. The executive also highlights that the ceremony will follow the molds established by major events such as the Oscars, Cannes Festivals and The Game Awards.
With a total of 36 awards, the event is expected to last 2h30, excluding some moments such as Red Carpet, tributes and shows. The total transmission of the content, involving the CCXP Awards, is estimated to exceed 6 hours and can be checked on the Omelete website and social networks, with the entire team of presenters in the coverage. The command of the event will be led by a big name that is being kept under wraps due to the closing of the contract.
At the CCXP Awards, only the ‘Movies’, ‘Series’ and ‘Games’ categories will have a subcategory that will award the best product on a global scale. In all other categories and subcategories, competitors are 100% national. Check the categories:

For Fabri, the CCXP Awards should reverberate on social media like no other award. The reasons? By popular vote, the CCXP Awards will honor the most relevant community of the year – the one that most moved social networks. Other tributes will be to the ‘Professional of the Year’ within the pop culture industry and the big winner of the night, in the ‘Grand Prix’ category. As a way of creating a Brazilian Academy of Pop Culture, the CCXP Awards will announce the first names that will enter this Hall of Fame. And, as is tradition at every major award show, the event will feature Red Carpet, celebrity appearances, a gala, concerts and posthumous tributes.
As it could not be different, the CCXP Awards is opening its accounts on social networks: Instagram and Twitter. In addition, the ccxpawards.com website is now available with more information for the public to learn about the biggest award in the country.
Voting and registration
Applications to compete in all categories will open on May 4th, on the CCXP Awards website, and will remain open until May 24th. Upon completion, the works and content entered will be analyzed by a jury composed of artists, producers, developers, gamers, creators and journalists who are part of the entertainment industry in the country, known as the Committee of Experts. The result will be the formation of a ‘Top 10’ for each subcategory. “Our expectation is to have registrations from all Brazilian states. Brazil is very rich in content from comics, series, movies, books and games. It doesn’t matter if it’s big or small, the CCXP Awards believes in the promotion and visibility of national culture”, highlights Fabri.
With the ‘Top 10’ defined in each subcategory, the popular vote will open on June 16th for the election of the ‘Top 5’ within each subcategory, continuing until the 29th. jury, called the Technical Jury, and will be formed by a president along with five specialized members for each category.
Also on the 29th, the result of the five finalists in each subcategory will be known. The following day, the 30th, an opening will be given to define the winner of each subcategory. Again, the public will participate in the choice with the vote of the Technical Jury. Voting is scheduled to close on July 13, the day before the event.
For the winners, there will be a tribute at CCXP 22; a trophy that will have a story behind its development and will be one of the most coveted in the country; a certificate and participation in special content on the Omelete website.
