“Our people build these possible paths of solution within the sincerity of those who want to win”, says Criolo in one of the episodes of the webseries “Histórias de Transformação”, which premiered this Tuesday, March 29, on the YouTube channel of Assaí Atacadista. One of the main names in the contemporary Brazilian music scene, the musician and composer leads conversations that present real stories of peripheral microentrepreneurs who transformed their stories and managed to make their businesses prosper.

The action is part of the campaign to open registration for the Academia Assaí Bons Negócios 2022 Award, which this year will offer more than BRL 800,000 in prizes. Focusing on micro and small traders in the food sector, the initiative offers free training in business management and financial support that, this year, can reach up to BRL 14,000 per participant.
With a documentary format, the series is produced by the multicultural platform Blend Inspire and is divided into three episodes with interviews with winners of previous editions of the Award. Based on moving accounts, the paths of Lindo’s Salgados Gourmet, from Juazeiro do Norte (CE), Delícias Di Mãe&Filhos, from São Gonçalo (RJ) and Canto do Espetinho, from Grajaú (SP), are empowered in a chat that brings a lot of sensitivity and empathy to the stories of the awardees. Criolo’s own choice also represents a consolidated trajectory of how opportunities transform lives.
The pieces will be broadcast on the Assaí channel in Youtube and will be available to the public from the 29/03. Small businesses are one of the main drivers of the Brazilian economy – they account for 54% of formal job vacancies, 44% of the salary mass and generate 27% of the Brazilian GDP, according to Sebrae data for 2021.
