The streamers of Twitch are gradually dominating the digital content market. This is because the interaction with the public becomes more intimate, the conversation is not restricted to a comment tab and there are infinite categories and subjects that can be presented in a live, such as reacts, chat, games, readings, etc.
So, if you work with digital content, you know it’s a delay not knowing how this entertainment niche works. Although Twitch’s interface may seem confusing for beginners, DNEWS has brought a simple and quick tutorial on how to use and understand the platform’s tools. It is important to remember that this guide is focused on viewers, and not on how to produce content. Check out:
Categories and channels
The twitch website or app is divided into several categories such as chat, games (divided by titles), music, sports, asmr, etc. The home also highlights some of the live streams happening right now and how many viewers are on it. Along the side of the screen, you’ll see which streamers you’re following along with some recommendations. When selecting a category, just choose one of the live streamers and enjoy!
Joining a live
When entering a live, you will come across the streamer screen, a chat for conversations and some options on buttons. You can follow the streamer’s channel, and there is also an option called sub (subscribe). Each chat has its rules, often available in the presenter’s channel profile details. It is also possible to see how many people are on the live at that moment.
Sub and rewards
Subscribing to a Twitch channel is different from following it. The follow is free and serves to follow the channel. The subscribe (from “subscribe”) is a kind of monthly subscription that gives the subscriber some returns in exchange for supporting the lives, such as appearing on the screen and being able to receive a hi from the streamer, emotes and exclusive stickers in chat, among others.
The rewards on Twitch vary by profile, and there is also the so-called Prime Sub, where Amazon Prime subscribers (with rights to Prime Video, Prime Gaming, etc.)
