The move is part of the company’s expansion strategy, which in recent years has acquired Dez Comunicação and A2C agencies, both in the south of the country.
Digital transformation creative consultancy Brivia bought 100% of Heads, one of the largest independent agencies in the country. With the transaction announced today, the company will have more than R$200 million in revenue by the end of the year and will have more than 450 employees. Cláudio Loureiro, founder and CEO of Heads, will continue to occupy the same position and will become a shareholder of the group.
The execution of the deal, conducted by CMT, on the Brivia side, and BMA Advogados, on the Heads side, involved both the disbursement of financial resources and the distribution of Brivia shares. The values were not disclosed.
The move is part of the company’s expansion strategy. In recent years, it bought the Dez Comunicação agency in 2018, a traditional agency in Rio Grande do Sul, and, in 2020, A2C, a full agency in Santa Catarina and also positioned among the independents in Brazil at the time.
In the announcement, Brivia promised new moves. At the moment, 5 mergers and acquisitions operations are under analysis. According to Marcio Coelho, the purchase of Heads strengthens the creative component of Brivia, which has recently positioned itself as creative smartech. Currently, the company serves clients such as Banco do Brasil, Petrobras, Vivo, Vibra Energia, Banco Carrefour and O Boticário.
According to Loureiro, the sale of Heads, after receiving proposals from large international groups, starts from the understanding that the market has changed and that the new buyer will be able to contribute to the business. “It’s an opportunity to bring Brivia’s expertise and innovation culture into the environment of a traditional and creative agency,” he explains.
