The #TiraOTítuloArmy movement had projections in several cities in Brazil
Fans of the K-pop group BTS ran a campaign inviting the fandom to withdraw their voter registration this year.
The movement called #TiraOTítuloArmy” was born on the Army Help The Planet Twitter account, and spread to projections on walls in several cities in the country, such as São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belém, Brasília, Salvador and Porto Alegre.
The messages of the projections are quotes from some songs sung by the boy band, such as “The press and adults say we have no wills. Why are they trying to kill us before we have a chance to try?”, from the song Dope and “If what you see in the newspaper is nothing to you, you are not normal”, from the song Am I Wrong.
On Twitter, the campaign was publicized by the hashtag that received the name of the campaign, #TiraOTtítuloArmy.
The account responsible for the campaign also made a sequence of tweets, teaching teenagers from 16 years old to take their voter registration.
Last week, Burger King introduced a campaign in which it invites teenagers to reflect on the importance of voting in the 2022 election. In the video created by David, BK asks consumers, “Do you like to vote for reality TV?” and then asks: “Then why don’t you do that in the elections?”.
In the last presidential election, held in 2018, Burger King launched the Whopper in White.
The film, signed by the same David, showed a personalized electronic ballot box in which consumers could choose whether to vote for a candidate or blank. At the end of the action, those who voted blank received the Whopper in White first hand.
