The extension was based on the platform’s investments to turn the site into a personalized shopping destination
Pinterest announced the integration with WooCommerce, an e-commerce platform, this Wednesday (13).
The integration will allow companies to synchronize their digital catalogs and transform their products into pins purchasable on the website, with availability information and prices in stock.
“The partnership has allowed us to provide the best integrated shopping experience on Pinterest, putting WooCommerce stores at the forefront of e-commerce,” said Aleksandra Bettin, VP of Business Development at WooCommerce.
Pinterest’s extension with WooCommerce was based on the platform’s investments in turning the site into a personalized shopping destination.
A survey by the site itself found that shoppers spend 50% more when they take a week to make a decision and Pinners (Pinterest users) typically spend 2x more than people on other platforms.
The service is available in Brazil, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland , Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and United States. Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Japan will have access later this year.
