Hollywood is really changing. Will Smith is banned from the Oscars for 10 years, Harvey Weinstein is arrested. And it’s not just. After scandals with series actors like Kevin Spacey (House of Cards) e Thomas Gibson (Criminal Minds), one more happens now. Veteran Frank Langella, 84, is the latest casualty in a series because of his inappropriate behavior.
Frank was the lead actor in the Netflix series, The Fall of the House of Usher. It should have 8 episodes. It is based on a short story by Edgar Allan Poe, described as an epic of ambition, terror and tragedy. The cast includes Carla Gugino, Mary McDonnell, Carl Lumbly and Mark Hamill. The main character is Roderick Usher, who would be played by Frank Langella. But no more, the actor was fired after an investigation by the studio.
According to TMZ, the investigation began because the actor was accused of sexual harassment. This included inappropriate comments for an actress on set during work. It is not yet known who the actress was. Frank Langella was not scheduled to go on set this week. According to Deadline, filming will continue until another actor enters the story. All of his character scenes will be redone. Neither Netflix nor representatives for Frank Langella have commented on the matter so far. Now it’s time to hear from both sides.
