The housing and rental company QuintoAndar is suffering a crisis in its image and reputation after laying off about 20% of its employees (800 out of a total of 4,000), according to O Estado de São Paulo. The company countered the numbers by saying that they are just 4% in layoffs.
However, the former QuintoAndar employees are coming together and creating lists with the names of those affected by the cut and revealing an attempt by the company to “erase the real situation”. The image crisis worsened after the company made a millionaire sponsorship of the biggest reality show in the country, Big Brother Brasil.
The layoffs go in the opposite direction of the credit spent by the company in recent months. Announcements such as changes to the visual identity, office expansions and purchases by Grupo Navent also raised questions about the case, which is awaiting further answers from QuintoAndar.
In January of this year, ADNEWS held a interview with the company’s CMO, João Chueiri, who talks about the changes that have taken place in the company’s positioning and visual identity, in addition to the sponsorship within the BBB.
