The official website for Twin Engine’s first original anime, Shine On! Bakumatsu Boys (Bucchigire! ), premiered the anime’s first full promotional video and main visual on Thursday. The video announces the anime’s main cast and July 8 premiere.

The anime will premiere on Tokyo MX on July 8 at 10:30 pm, and then air on BS11 at 11:30 pm on the same day.
The story of Shine On! It takes place at the time when the samurai rule Japan. However, the police force Shinsengumi was virtually wiped out by an unknown enemy, leaving only one survivor. Seven criminals were chosen as replacements for the Shinsengumi. To ensure law and order in Kyoto, a top-secret replacement operation is launched.
Tetsuo Hirakawa ( Grimoire of Zero , YU-NO: A girl who chants love at the bound of this world ) is directing the anime at Geno Studio ( Golden Kamuy , Genocidal Organ ), and is also supervising the series scripts. The creator of the Shaman King manga, Hiroyuki Takeiis working on the original character designs, which Masafumi Yokota is adapting for animation.
