In Times Square, in New York City (USA), Twitch and Gaules announced the renewal of the contract between the streaming service and the content creator and streamer. The platform’s action showed Gaules on one of the main media screens in the world a video with the trajectory of Alexandre Borba leaving the East Zone of São Paulo, facing delicate moments until he became the biggest streamer in Brazil and one of the biggest in the world.
The video shows the well-established partnership between the parties in the gaming and eSports world. The action pays tribute to Brazil and highlights the victory of the ‘impossible’ of the Tribe.
In 2021, the streamer consolidated itself as a communicator that has been changing the way content is created and consumed, closing the broadcast agreement for the entire season of the NBA, the São Paulo Formula 1 GP and, more recently, announced the creation of a podcast with the former soccer player and ace, Ronaldo.
“I can say I’m the happiest guy in the world. I receive this honor as a result of the unconditional support I receive from the Tribo. My story being set in a space as noble as Times Square is something I will never forget. Guys, the impossible happened. We’re in Times Square!”, cheered Gaules, moved by his team.
Gaules no The Game Awards
In addition to the action with Twitch, the streamer is in the United States to participate in the The Game Awards, where he competes in the Content Creator of the Year category. American streamers Dream and Fuslie also compete; and the Spaniards Ibai Llanos and TheGrefg. In Brazil, he competes as ‘Personality of the Year’ and ‘Best Streamer’ at the Esports Brasil 2021 Award.
Currently, Gau – nickname within the Tribo – is the only Brazilian to appear in the top 10 worldwide in terms of number of subscribers. He has the mark of 70 thousand subscribers on the channel (people who pay a monthly fee to contribute to their favorite content producers). The renewal with Twitch ensures that your fans’ ‘home’ will remain the service for the duration of the contract. check out on here Top 10 of streamers with most subscribers in Brazil.
Twitch Shares This Joy “At a time when community is critical, creators like Gaules are an essential part of Twitch’s mission to bring people together. Gaules understands what his audience loves and has created valuable and innovative experiences that go beyond gaming. We are excited to continue our partnership and look forward to seeing you continue to succeed with the endless possibilities of broadcasting at Twitch.” said Ignacio Estanga, vice president of partnerships at Twitch LATAM.
Gaules is a partner in the largest conglomerate dedicated to pop culture fans in Brazil, the Omelete Company. For him, the channel’s goal for 2022 will be to continue innovating the way that sports and pop culture are consumed in Brazil, being on the frontier of innovation and creating new ways to connect with the audience not only in gaming and eSports, but also in traditional sports.
As an example of this, he has brought Twitch a new audience to watch NBA without impacting the TV audience – and has the potential to do much more. “Yesterday, it was Formula 1 and the NBA. Today, this recognition that I never dreamed of. Tomorrow who knows where the Tribe might go?” concludes the streamer.
