Products will no longer be marketed as of this Friday (29), according to the fast-food chain
The McPicanha line has barely arrived in the McDonald’s portfolio and is already on its way out. The fast food chain decided to remove the two sandwiches from the menu as of this Friday (29), after the negative repercussions for the products not having picanha in their compositions, but a picanha-flavored sauce.
The reaction of consumers on social networks was accompanied by a notification by Procon-SP and the opening of a process by Conar (National Advertising Self-Regulatory Council) to investigate the advertising campaign of the line, which arrived in stores on April 5.
In a note when communicating the withdrawal of the products, McDonald’s says: “We apologize if the name chosen raised doubts and inform that we are evaluating the next steps”.
