Vans re-teams with Crayola after more than a decade since the first Vans x Crayola collaboration, launched in 2010. This time, Vans and Crayola create a colorful collection of sneakers, apparel and accessories for all ages. With designs inspired by the classic look of Crayola art materials across all of Vans’ iconic styles, the collection celebrates limitless creativity and the myriad colorful ways we can express ourselves.
“Crayola encourages everyone to step up and paint outside the box,” adds Warren Schorr, vice president of Business Development & Global Licensing at Crayola. “We are thrilled to team up with Vans to introduce a collection with a fresh approach to creativity.”
The collection customizes the brand’s first ever sneaker, the Vans Authentic, in the “Van Doren Inspired” and “DIY/Sketch Your Way” colorways, updated with fun prints referencing the style of the coloring books that inspire adventures at every step. The ComfyCush Old Skool’s upper is a blank canvas for fans of both characters in the collaboration to express themselves creatively.
The Classic Slip-On has a detail on the silhouette’s rubber welt, textured to make the pair unique in combination with the crayon coloring on the sole. The Vans x Crayola Mini Backpack is built with top handles, front zip pockets and an innovative crayon pocket for access to creative moments on the go.
Apparel and accessories complement the vibrant sneakers that are part of this playful and fun collaboration. Cotton tees and hoodies are crafted from hand-drawn illustrations, paired with the Vans x Crayola Crayon Long Sleeve T-Shirt, featuring the iconic Vans Checkerboard print scrawled across the sleeve. A patterned backpack, 5-panel Jockey cap and Vans x Crayola socks complete the collection of everyday essentials.
