Estrella Galicia recently launched its first webseries in Brazil with celebrities from the world of music, gastronomy and dramaturgy. The first episode, “Passion for what he does”, had the participation of the couple of actors Camila Queiroz and Klebber Toledo (click here to see the video). The sequence of this production tells a little about the story of chef Dalton Rangel and the origin of his connection with the cuisine and ingredients coming from the land, just as Estrella Galicia has for its beers. The episode “Ingredients of Origin” will be released on April 28 on the brand’s Instagram and Youtube.
The production is part of the “Incomparable” campaign, in a sequence of actions launched since the end of last year. Linkers is responsible for all production and direction of the webseries. The entire creation was developed by the Fillet agency, which structured the films based on the campaign and sought out characters that reinforce the brand’s main values.
Dante Grassi, marketing director for Estrella Galicia in Latin America, says:
“We produced the webseries as an extension of the ‘Incomparable’ campaign, with the aim of conveying our brand and product values through important names that share these same incomparable values. We believe that this is the clearest way to explain to consumers what Estrella Galicia has as a differential in the market, which is precisely by making this parallel with what each name that is part of the campaign has as a differential that makes them stand out. Whoever is part of this webseries really shares our attributes, and we are part of their story.”
Dalton Rangel has a degree in gastronomy and for years toured kitchens in several countries, such as Uruguay, Colombia, Spain, Italy, United States, Portugal, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, France and China. In 2008 he made his first appearance on television, in Super Chef by Ana Maria Braga, on TV Globo. Shortly after, he was invited by Fox Channel to participate in Chef’s Gourmet. From 2014 to 2020, Dalton was on TV Record screens, on the show Hoje em Dia. At the end of 2020 he commanded the cooking board of Aqui na Band. Currently, the chef is a partner at the Miró restaurant, located in the Jardins neighborhood, in São Paulo, and at the Portuguese restaurant O FADO at VillageMall, in Rio de Janeiro. Later that year, he returned to television to work alongside presenter Ticiana Villas Boas in “Duelo de Mães”, on TV Band.
Dalton Rangel says:
“For Estrella Galicia to be in Visconde de Mauá and to be able to tell a little about my story, my professional side, this path of study, of contact with nature, all this truth of mine, which is a beautiful side to present and that can inspire many people. Being with a strong international brand that also has a family side is very important to me. I am very attached to my family, very attached to my roots, to haute cuisine, to the slow fire. So being able to tell this story was really a dream, especially through Estrella Galicia.”
The production of the Estrella Galica beer webseries is part of a special moment in the country. A few months ago, the company announced the implementation of a new factory in Brazil, in Araraquara (SP), and a 12-year distribution partnership with the Coca-Cola System.
episodes
The webseries has three episodes divided into different themes, which bring to life the main pillars of the brand. “In the first one, ‘Passion for what he does’, we highlight the essence of Estrella Galicia, which is still a family brewery built by a beer lover who has maintained its traditions since 1906. We looked for a character that brought this into their work and their nature. We were pleasantly surprised that Camila and Klebber, despite being young, demonstrate this in their work and personal lives. They are people who are dedicated to doing everything in the best way, who love their work and that’s why they always deliver incredible results. So much passion for what they do! It came very easily when we approached them”, comments Rodrigo Mauger, one of Fillet’s managing partners.
In the second episode ‘Ingredients of origin’ there was a search for people who had the same concern as Estrella Galicia when choosing and treating the raw material used in beer. And nothing more evident than looking at the field of gastronomy. “That’s when we thought of chef Dalton Rangel, who was already a partner of the brand and has this concern with the ingredients he uses in his dishes. Talented and young, he has a job that is super consistent with his image, hosts a TV show and is a partner and chef of two restaurants. His story is incredible and reflects where all this passion for cooking and the ingredients used comes from,” explains Mauger.
Finally, the third episode focuses on showing the audience that Estrella Galicia respects the time and process to make quality beer, without rushing. For this, Mauger and his team looked for characters who shared this same aspect, such as the artists Ana and Vitória. “The theme with the participation of the duo is ‘Fogo Lento’, just as Estrella Galicia prepares its beers without worrying about the deadline, but with the quality, always doing an impeccable process, I also highlight how the girls do their work , composition, rehearsals, concerts, music execution, choices…always without haste, calmly”, he emphasizes.
