Waze announced Heloisa Pinho as the platform’s new country manager for Brazil. The executive has been with the company for more than 3 years and since 2019 has been acting as head of industries for the Retail, Fuels and Restaurant Chains segments at Waze Brasil. Previously, she was at Google, the company that acquired Waze in 2013, for over 9 years.
“I am very happy with the challenge, being part of Waze is to be part of a community of more than 140 million users worldwide who use the app daily to get around and gain more time and quality of life. Our goal is to help eliminate city traffic and make traffic safer”, says Heloisa Pinho, who has a degree in advertising from PUC-Rio and a postgraduate degree in marketing from IBMEC-Rio.
Currently, Brazil is the fifth largest market in terms of number of users and the 3rd in terms of revenue, as stated by Anasofía Sánchez Juárez, the executive responsible for the entire latam operation of Waze, in a recent interview with PROPMARK about the next steps of the platform in Brazil. and in the region.
