In the early hours of this Friday, December 10, the ConectSUS and Ministry of Health websites were marked by hacker attacks. Both online addresses, extremely important for the data regarding the vaccination and the pandemic, went down and were down for more than an hour.
One of the main concerns surrounding the downfall of websites is vaccination vouchers, which have become inaccessible. Other sites with important data about the pandemic also went down with the invasion. Among the affected addresses are the e-SUS Notifica, which records cases of COVID-19 and the SI-PNI, which records the progress of vaccination.
Even so, the news released by the Ministry itself regarding the fall of the ConectSUS websites are worrying. Functions such as issuing proof of vaccination, which is important to record individual immunizations, are not yet available.
The group “Lapsus$ Group“. Authorship of the attack was claimed during the night. While the site was completely down, a message that said “”contact us if you want the data back” could be seen when accessing the address.
The Health Minister spoke about the attack on ConectSUS:
“A criminal attitude, of a hacker, which is being investigated by the Federal Police, by the Institutional Security Office. Today, the total effort is for this data to be available in the shortest possible time. It is being investigated and as soon as someone is guilty, it will be exemplary guilty. “
Names that gained relevance during the fight against the pandemic in Brazil, such as biologist and researcher Átila Iamarino, also commented on the event:
A valid alternative for those looking for another way to prove their vaccination is physical proof. In addition, some state and municipal websites have their own recorded data. It is still not known when the ConectSUS and Ministry of Health websites will return to the air, nor when and how the data will be recovered.
