Jodie Comer is an actress who is getting more and more powerful. After the series triumph Killing Eve e do filme The Last Duel. Even with the latter, many thought she would be nominated for an Oscar. It wasn’t, but she was great (the movie is also very good, it’s on Star Plus). And now Jodie has beaten the super favorite Kate Winslet (for the also great Mare of Easttown) at the BAFTA TV Awards 2022. The role that gave him this new award is from the film Help.
Help is a made-for-TV drama and shows the period of the pandemic in Great Britain. In it Sarah (Jodie Comer), is a health care assistant, who starts working in a kind of clinic in Liverpool. There she takes care of Tony (Stephen Graham), a middle-aged man who is in the early stages of Alzheimer’s. When the pandemic hits the country, their world will change completely.
It is the second BAFTA for TV actress for Jodie, who previously won a statuette for Killing Eve. Unfortunately Help is not yet available on streams here. Jodie was at the event with a super basic little black dress by Hugo Boss.
