Leandro Roque de Oliveira, better known as Emicida, reached the milestone of the third singer in the world to perform a show in the metaverse within the game Fortniteone of the most popular games today, with approximately 350 million registered users.
Lab Fantasma, the rapper’s record label, claimed to have worked hard to get the artist inside, in a show available between April 29 and May 2, with some unreleased songs. The event could be accessed through PlayStation, Xbox, PC, Android, Switch and Mac platforms.
The differential of this modality is the chance to not only watch the show, but interact with other online players in the movements and dances, in addition to running, flying and exploring each corner more closely.
Emicida beyond Fortnite
Emicida also decided to expand this collaboration outside of the game. Cinemark made 15 movie theaters available throughout Brazil with three sessions each for those who wanted to enjoy the event on the big screen.
Label Lab Phantom also brought a collection of Fortnite clothing to sell on their official store. The tracks played (including the previously unreleased ones) are available for streaming on an exclusive CD.
“I see the opportunity to create this experience in Fortnite as something very special. In addition to being fans of the game, the Ghost Lab staff and I are storytellers that transform reality.”
