Razer has just announced the Viper V2 Pro, an ultra-lightweight, wireless gaming mouse ideal for competitive gaming. Chris Mitchell, head of Razer’s PC gaming division, commented:
“We thought carefully about every detail of the Viper V2 Pro to ensure that the lightest weight didn’t detract from other features. It wasn’t just about making a peripheral lighter. Both professional esports players and the gaming community that use mice to play have played a significant role in the development of the Viper V2 Pro, whether it’s feedback on switch or sensor enhancements, or something simpler like feedback on the size of the side buttons. ”
Using a prototype of the new version of the Viper, Marved set the record for most kills during the 2022 VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) with 35 in total, earning him the title of Grand Finals MVP. In this tournament, OpTic Gaming was the great champion and the new generation of Viper had its importance even before the launch.

Artificial intelligence features to improve performance at the highest levels of gameplay, including features such as Smart Tracking, Motion Sync and Asymmetric Cut-off, the latter enhanced to support up to 26 granular levels of height (the previous version, present on the Viper Pro, it had three levels). This great possibility of customization allows users to define, for example, the distance at which the sensor will read when lifting and returning the mouse to the mousepad (lift-off distance), adjusting it perfectly to their gameplay style.
The Viper V2 Pro also features Razer’s 3rd Gen Optical Switches for a more tactile experience, longer peripheral life, zero double-click issues, and no debounce delay. The new switches also have a lifecycle of up to 90 million clicks, an increase of more than 25% over the previous generation.
According to Flo Gutierrez, global director of Esports for the brand:
“Viper V2 Pro was developed from the ground up alongside the best gamers in the world, always with the aim of delivering a revolution in gaming performance. We collected feedback from our players throughout the mouse creation process and heard over and over again that weight, sensors and switches were the most important parts. Now, the result really speaks for itself: try it and you’ll never want another one again.”
Every aspect of a gaming mouse is important to the professional eSports gamer. That’s why the Viper V2 Pro is now rechargeable via USB Type-C cable and has a DPI control knob on the bottom, allowing for real-time sensitivity customization without needing access to software. Pre-cut grip strips in the shape of the Viper V2 Pro, a Razer Speedflex charging cable, and a 2.4GHz HyperSpeed USB cable extender also come with the mouse.
