This Tuesday (10), billionaire Elon Musk, who just bought the Twitter for $44 million, said he is considering the return of former US President Donald Trump to the network. Musk reportedly referred to the case in a conference with the Financial Times.
Trump was suspended from the network after the spread of false information about the legitimacy of the elections, as well as being accused of rallying radical political groups that resulted in the 2021 Capitol Hill invasion.
Musk and Jack Dorsey, the co-founder of Twitter, agreed that Twitter should not impose permanent restrictions, and that banning the politician ends up only amplifying voices of the right in other squares.
Elon Musk Didn’t Convince Trump To Return
The former president’s position was straightforward, stating that he would not return to Twitter even if his account returned. “I hope Elon buys Twitter because he’s going to make improvements and he’s a good man, but I’m staying with Truth,” he said. At the moment, Donald Trump is trying to leverage his own social network, Truth Social, which is having trouble developing.
