After three years of waiting (and a lot of anxiety), Anime Friends is back, with editions in both São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro! This year’s physical edition will feature performances and special appearances, such as the Attack on Titan Dubbing Special, for example. Lucas Almeida, dubbing director, actor and voice actor, is more than confirmed. He has voiced several characters in anime and is well known by those who enjoy this type of production!
In São Paulo, Anime Friends will be in Anhembi, north of the capital, on the 8th, 9th and 10th of July. In Rio, the event will take place at ExpoMag, downtown, on the 16th and 17th of the same month.
In addition to Lucas, names like Mayara Stefane, Bruno Sangregorio, Takumi Tsutsui, Diogo Miyahara, Glauco Marques and Carol Valença are not left out. A Special from the famous Yu Yu Hakusho series was also confirmed, in addition to the classic Cosplay contest (which anyone who has attended the Anime is sure already connected) and the Artist’s Alley, which prioritizes local artists.
The event debuted in Rio only in 2019, but it has been in the city of São Paulo since 2003 and started through Yamato Corporation at a school in Vila Mariana. The success was so great that the event was expanding and attracting more and more public attention. This is more than proven, considering that the event is getting ready to have more than 100 thousand people in all in both cities, promising many news and different experiences to fans.
