This is the week when American TV networks announce their new programming after the cancellation madness. I’ve separated nine new series here that made me very curious to see. It is not yet known where they will be displayed, but already #stay here to follow.
Alaska
Starring Hillary Swank. A journalist who led a star life in New York falls from grace. To try to rebuild her career, she moves to Anchorage, Alaska, and starts working at a small local newspaper.
Not Dead Yet
Gina Rodriguez is a young woman who also wants to start her life over after her separation. But the only job she gets is writing obituaries. That’s when she starts getting life advice from a very unlikely source. based on the book by Alexandra Potter, Confessions of a 40-something F**k Up.
So Help me Todd
A talented but directionless investigator is the black sheep of the family. But he ends up having to reluctantly work for his mother, a successful lawyer who needs help after their breakup. With Marcia Gay Harden and Skylar Astin.
True Lies
Based on the hit movie with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis. A housewife is shocked to discover that her husband is actually an international spy. And things get more complicated when she is recruited to work with him on a mission. But in addition to saving the world, he will have to revitalize the passion of marriage.
Night Court
Night Court was a hit series of the 80’s/90’s, which lasted 9 seasons. It showed the daily life of Judge Harry Stone (Harry Anderson, deceased in 2018) who presided over a night court. Now, many years later, Night Court returns with Melissa Raunch (The Big Bang Theory) as the judge’s daughter, who now assumes her father’s office. John Larroquette, who was in the original series, returns as prosecutor Dan Fielding.
Quantum Leap
Another famous series sequel. Quantum Leapdisplayed here as setback, ran for five seasons. It told the story of Sam Beckett (Scott Bakula), who traveled through time. Now, in the new series, 30 years have passed since Sam disappeared. That’s when a new team has the mission to restart the project to understand its mysteries. Raymond Lee is Dr. Ben Seong.
Accused
Anthology series with each episode showing a case being tried. It is not known what the crime was or how the person ended up there. It shows how someone got involved in an extraordinary situation where one wrong choice leads to another. The series stars Michael Chiklis and Jill Hennessy ( Crossing Jordan).
Monarch
A novel that will tell the story of the most famous family in country music, the Romans. Susan Sarandon is the matriarch, Dottie Cantrell Roman.
Fire Country
A young convict (Max Thieriot) decides to join a firefighter program to reduce his sentence. And he has to work alongside firefighters to try to extinguish the fires that ravage the place. Kevin Alejandro (Lucifer) and Billy Burke (Twilight) are also in the cast.
