With a robust expansion plan and the ambition to become the biggest and best laundry chain in Brazil in the next 5 years, OMO Lavanderia has just opened its second own store in the world. Strategically located in one of the busiest neighborhoods in São Paulo, in Itaim Bibi, store 100 of the chain offers complete care for the clothes of those who want a specialized professional service.
The new unit chosen to be the brand’s second own store is Unilever’s 100th store, however, the chain already has more than 150 stores spread across the 5 regions of Brazil. The first OMO store in the world opened on June 30, 2020, at Rua Demóstenes, 1072, in Campo Belo, São Paulo.
OMO Specialized Lavanderia João Cachoeira, as it is called, comes to offer practical and efficient solutions that meet all the needs of consumers of the most different profiles, in a hybrid model, with laundry services ranging from specialized washing and basket service to self-service. , ideal for those who want to carry out the cleaning process on their own and enjoy the quality of professional machines and exclusive products. In addition, the consumer still has other options for clothing care, such as OMO Costura – with clothing repair, refurbishment, sewing and hemming solutions – and OMO House, service for cleaning household items with complete and immediate drying, such as sofas and mattresses; and the Sale of Unilever Products.
With two years of operation, OMO Lavanderia marked Unilever’s great entry into the retail market and brought expertise and technology as a great differential of the chain. Teo Figueiredo, director of OMO Lavanderia, spoke about the initiative:
“Now, we are having the opportunity to reinforce our brand with the opening of another unit of our own, only this time in Itaim Bibi. It is a great milestone for us, as the plan to expand our business throughout Brazil is being carried out to the letter.”
In addition to the two own stores, the franchise network also has laundries in historic landmarks – as is the case of the Self-Service unit at Copan, the largest residential building in Latin America, in greater São Paulo – and expects to evolve even further, presenting their high knowledge to offer a high standard of service. Theo added:
“We’ve evolved to be much more than a laundry chain, becoming a company with a large full-service ecosystem to meet clothing care needs. We are revolutionizing the segment through one of the most loved brands in Brazil, bringing even more care and technology. OMO Lavanderia has arrived to transform the customer’s relationship with professional laundries, democratizing and simplifying the service, without sacrificing quality and convenience.”
The new store is located at Rua João Cachoeira 1210, Vila Nova Conceição, São Paulo-SP.
